  • To request a tutor, students must first meet with a Tutor Program staff member.
  • Appointments to request a tutor occur every half hour Monday through Friday, beginning no later than the third week of each semester.
  • After the appointment, tutors are assigned based on the course, section number, time and tutor availability.
  • Students may only request one tutor per semester due to limited funds and staff.
  • Once assigned students continue to work with their tutors throughout the semester.
  • The Tutor Program's role is to help students "learn how to learn." Tutoring provides the discipline; consistency and continuity students need to keep up with their academics. There is no "magic formula" involved. Tutoring can help increase a students overall understanding of course material and enhance student performance depending upon the time, energy and effort the individual student commits to the learning process.
  • Last year nearly 800 students utilized our services in 80-90 different courses. Help yourself to succeed and call us today to schedule an appointment at 581-2351 or stop by the office located in 104 Dunn Hall.
