Dana-Sacco Named Hanley Center Fellow |
 |
Gail Dana-Sacco, Ph.D, director of the
University of Maine's Wabanaki Center, has been selected
as a fellow in the 2009 Daniel Hanley Center for Health
Leadership program, a mentorship program established to
identify and train emerging leaders in the field of
health across the state. The program is designed to help
prepare a small select group of highly experienced
leaders to effect substantive change in health and
health care systems in Maine, according to the
Portland-based Hanley Center. Mentors are selected from
a pool of distinguished leaders from Maine’s health and
healthcare communities and other professions. Dana-Sacco
was selected for the program because of her experience,
leadership qualities, and "her strong commitment to
decreasing health disparities facing Native Americans
and other underserved populations in Maine," according
to Sean Hanley, M.D., chair of the Hanley Center Board
of Directors. |
