Welcome to the University of Maine Livestock Team Online Grazing Course

This is a correspondence course originally developed by the University of Minnesota. We have modified portions of the course and converted it to an online offering. One of the benefits of using an online course is that you can move through the material at your own pace. You can also print out a copy of the course for your own use.

There are quizzes at the end of each of the sections. Each question has a link that will open a new window in the section of the lesson pertaining to the question. It can be resized, minimized and closed with a few clicks of your mouse. If you have problems, send an e-mail message to the contact at the bottom of the page. You can submit your answers to the questions electronically. Your quizzes will be graded and returned to you electronically so it is important for you to make sure your e-mail address is correct.

There are seven sections to the course. Each of the following hyperlinks in the first column will take you to one of the seven lessons. You may also print the basic lesson (without additional photos and videoclips) by selecting the PDF icon after each lesson. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print PDF documents. If you do not have the reader on your computer, it can be downloaded for free from Adobe. If you click on the Abobe icon and have problems downloading the file, press the right mouse button and select save target as. You can save the file to your computer and then load the file into Adobe Acrobat Reader from your computer.
