Trails, Hiking and Skiing Trails | Hiking & Skiing Public Trails The Dale Mudge Memorial TREES Trail is a self-guided path through the Yankee Woodlot forest management demonstration site. It leads visitors on an exploration of forest ecology and sign posts explain how to manage a forest for the benefit of present and future generations. This Trail is open to the public year round. During the winter months, visitors must hike or ski from the camp’s main gate. Guided group tours of the Demonstration Forest are available upon request. Hiking and Cross-Country Skiing The Tanglewood 4-H Camp and Learning Center is operated by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension using land and facilities leased from the State of Maine. The land is part of Camden Hills State Park. Ski at your own risk: The trails are NOT groomed or patrolled. For your own safety and the pleasure of all, observe the following rules:
