Eat Well! - A Program for Healthy Eating!

Welcome to the Nutrition Education program...
These programs are part of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension's Eat Well Nutrition Education Program that includes:

  • Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and

  • Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP)

4-H club receiving nutrition instruction from dieticianEat Well Nutrition Programs are FREE and confidential.  Through Eat Well, our Nutrition Aides can help you learn more about:

  • stretching food dollars

  • cooking skills

  • keeping foods safe

  • low cost, healthy snacks

  • making favorite recipes healthier

  • maintaining healthy weight

  • meal planning for busy people

Nutrition Aides can teach these topics to eligible individuals through lessons in the home or in small groups.  A Learn-By-Mail Nutrition Course is also available to anyone interested in participating.
