Welcome to UMaine Training & Safety

UMaine Training & Safety (UMTS) is a student-run organization, operating as part of University Volunteer Ambulance Corps. We offer classes in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), First Aid, and Blood-Borne Pathogens safety, to students, staff, faculty and community members. Classes are taught to the standards of the American Heart Association (AHA).

There are a few short steps when taking a class through UMTS.

1. Determined what type of class you are looking for: Course Descriptions
2. Check the schedule for available classes. Didn’t see what you’re looking for? We can set up classes for groups as small as four.
3. Register online to sign up for a class. If you have a group, then EMAIL us, (umts.drop.box@umit.maine.edu), to request one be scheduled
