Department Publications

The Department of English is home to The National Poetry Foundation, an internationally recognized center for fostering the study of modern poetry. The National Poetry Foundation publishes numerous books on modern and contemporary poets and poetry, and two scholarly journals: Paideuma: A Journal Devoted to Ezra Pound Scholarship and Sagetrieb: A Journal Devoted to Poets in the Imagist/Objectivist Tradition.

Graduate students in the Department of English edit a literary annual, Stolen Island Review; and undergraduate students edit a literary annual, The Maine Review.

Students in the Department of English also publish, print and edit a semi-regular literary magazine, The Accompanist, featuring original poetry and prose, which is available free of charge at the Department of English main office, 304 Neville Hall.
