Q: How do I reach the main office of the English Department?
A: Our department's main office is located in 304 Neville Hall
and is open M-F from 8am-4:30pm. The office telephone number
is (207) 581-3822 - calling this line will put you in touch with
Diana Weddell, the Administrative Assistant to Margo Lukens,
Chair.
Q: How can I find the office number / email / phone number of
a professor in the department?

alphabetically here.
Q: What graduate-level degrees do you offer?
A: Currently, our department offers the M.A. degree with concentration
areas in Women's Studies, Creative Writing, Composition/Pedagogy
and Traditional Literary Studies. We will offer a new concentration
area in Poetry/Poetics beginning Fall 2002. The University of
Maine does not offer an MFA degree. The Ph.D. program in the
Department of English has been approved by the Graduate School,
but not funded as of the 2002-2003 school year. We expect that
this degree will be available within 3-5 years.
