The Penobscot Experimental Forest is located approximately 15 miles from the University of Maine campus in the towns of Bradley and Eddington. The University of Maine Foundation owns this 4,200 acre forest, and its primary objective is to provide opportunities for research. In addition to University-sponsored research, the Northern Research Station of the U. S. Forest Service conducts long-term research on the property.

For more information about recreational, or educational use of the Penobscot Experimental Forest please contact the University Forests Office.
