The Penobscot Experimental Forest
is located approximately 15 miles from the University of Maine
campus in the towns of Bradley and Eddington. The University of
Maine Foundation owns this 4,200 acre forest, and its primary
objective is to provide opportunities for research. In addition to
University-sponsored research, the Northern Research
Station of the U. S. Forest Service conducts long-term research on
the property.
