Land-use Effects on Amphibian Populations

Demeritt Forest, Old Town

No, these are not the latest crop circle type of phenomena indicating a "Bow Tie Affair"!

This is in fact a research project which will study the effects of harvest practices on amphibian populations in Maine. These research areas were laid out and harvested by University Forests Office personnel for the Wildlife Ecology Department, which is now doing the tough part of  collecting specimens and information from each site. For more information about this project contact the University Forests Office.
