Campus Life
First-year students are part of
an enriched shared community with
innovative academic, social and
community support and are expected
to live on campus. Many other
students choose to live on campus too - there's always so much going on!
The University of Maine is known for
having one of the safest campuses in the U.S. A major reason: The
Safe Campus Project, working to promote a safe community
for everyone.
What else?
- High-speed digital Internet
and e-mail, cable TV in every room.
- UMaine classrooms and most
public spaces like Fogler Library and the Union, are wireless.
- Our Campus Activities Board
has great stuff scheduled for just about every night of the
week. Check it out: Games Night, Java Jive, Kickin' Flicks,
Maine Attraction, Karaoke, Jazz in the Union and lots more!
Choices for your
home-away-from-home:
A traditional one- or two-person room. You won't be crammed
into a triple!
You also can live in an
apartment-style suite.
All residence halls are coed, with
study lounges, recreational and vending areas, and laundry rooms.
