College of Business, Public Policy, and Health

Tal Shpaizer, student

"I was searching for a place where I could combine my swimming with higher education. I eventually decided Maine would be the best place and I'm very pleased with my choice. I love it here. Everybody is smiling and they say good morning and hi, even if I don't know them. It's really easy making friends here."

The school promotes management education and integrates research, teaching and extensive interactions with the business community.

School of Social Work
Promoting social justice, celebrating diversity. Accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Providing opportunities to work with young people and families, and with the Maine Center on Aging.

Department of Public Administration
Training for leading municipal agencies and business groups, and for a career in health care administration. One of the oldest programs of its kind in the country.

School of Economics
Our new School of Economics combines the Department of Economics and the Department of Resource Economics and Policy, and is jointly administered by the College of Business, Public Policy and Health, and the College of Natural Sciences, Forestry, and Agriculture. This exciting new structure will enable the new school to educate students in areas ranging from international and financial economics to resource and agribusiness economics.
