Liberal Arts and Sciences offers more than 40 majors from
anthropology to women's studies, and various minors and
concentrations, such as Native American and Franco-American
studies. CLAS is the largest college at UMaine, with over 2,900
undergraduate and 300 graduate students.
School of Performing Arts
Stages dozens of first-rate music, theater and dance programs
all year long. It is the premier school for the study and
performance of music, theater and dance in northern New England.
Hot major: New Media
Creating digital art and music, Web sites, interactive
environments, video and audio productions, animation and
documentary productions, and multimedia presentations.
