Graduate students at the
Mitchell Center have the opportunity to participate in many types of
fieldwork. Most students travel to each others’ sites to learn
sampling techniques from a variety of projects, including
groundwater, precipitation, lake, stream, soil, biomass, and
biological sampling. Even students who
do not have field work in their own research projects have the
opportunity to participate, making their policy or education degree
more well-rounded. Students have benefited greatly from having this
range of techniques in their repertoire, and it exemplifies the
Mitchell Center’s mission to train future water resource
professionals.
Additional information on field sites is available under the
research section. |
