Graduate students interested in environmental studies at the University of Maine should check with relevant departments for appropriate study options (see list below). UMaine also offers an interdisciplinary graduate program in Ecology and Environmental Science. The primary mission of this program is to offer students the opportunity to acquire a Masters or Doctorate degree with an integrated multi-disciplinary approach to the analysis and resolution of ecological and environmental problems.

The Environmental Solutions Initiative (ESI) connects the diverse expertise and problem-solving capacity at UMaine to Maine’s need for more effective environmental policies and practices. The Environmental Solutions Initiative provides additional resources for students with environmental interests including research and fellowship opportunities, seminar listings, and more.
