George Stevens Academy

George Stevens Academy is a private high school serving just under 400 students from the communities of Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, Orland, Penobscot, Sedgwick, and Surry.

The purpose of George Stevens Academy is to help students realize their potential in a challenging, creative and caring atmosphere with the goal of becoming lifelong learners and responsible citizens.

The Academy encourages diversity of self-expression and tolerance of others. It offers opportunities to develop skills necessary to think critically and to solve problems effectively.

Bennatti graduated from the University of Maine with a BS in Wildlife Management and a MEd in Environmental Education. She teaches AP Environmental Science, Physical Science, Marine Science, and Advanced Biology. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, bird watching, gardening, and kayaking.
